 Hi Everyone! My name is Melanie and I am the owner of Grey Lily Photography. I am originally from a small town in Ontario and have been living in the beautiful city of Calgary for almost 8 years. I am 40 years old and an Aquarius :) My greatest loves are my new husband, my step son and our 2 kitties. My strengths are my faith, determination and my ability to admit when I'm wrong. My weaknesses are worrying, staying in my jammies all day, and anything with cheese on it or in it. I'm also an animal rights advocate and my outspokenness has been known to get me in a bit of trouble from time to time! I think I'm a comedian most days and love to make people laugh. I'm a bit shy at first but once you get to know me, I never stop talking! My photography business has been one of the highlights of my life thus far. Sweet Bloom is a product of my love for all things blooming. Honestly, its a dream come true.... My love of flowers comes from admiring my father's garden as a child. I can vividly recall the vibrant colours of the tulips, violas, clematis and sweet smelling lilacs. Watching and working along side my father grew my passion for flowers. This passion is strong today, if I'm not in the studio you can find me in the garden. You can even find my garden blooms as accents in bridal bouquets... I just love that!! As a florist, I believe in allowing the natural beauty of each distinct bloom to tell the story of the people being highlighted. My style is influenced by the garden...fresh blooms showcased in a timeless, romantic and whimsical design. As for me, I love being outdoors exploring, riding my mountain bike, skiing, strolling along paths and searching for babbling brooks...it's a thing! I love HOT coffee, chocolate, popcorn and I'm crazy for candy!! Outside of the studio, I cherish quality time with my family and friends. Educated at several prestigious Universities in French Literature, Neuropsychology, and Education (Special Needs), my love for photography ultimately won. Though I have a Certificate in Photography, I learned most from my photog parents back in the day! I began with Travel Photography, and eventually started capturing Families and their stages (Engagements, Weddings, Maternity, Newborns). I realized I loved watching a person's beauty unfold the more we connected. It wouldn't take long, and the instances of genuine contentment were frozen in time; allowing them to be forever cherished. My fascination with Boudoir and Cozy Couples blossomed as I began to notice the need for self-acceptance; Mine, yours, everyone's! Grant me the opportunity to showcase your individuality and inner magnificence! I promise! Your cup will runneth over!

'Hi friends! I'm Chelsea. OWNER, FLORAL DESIGNER, GARDENER, MAMA, SIMPLICITY SEEKERMy favourite childhood memories are summers spent on my Grandparent's farm in Central Alberta. My Grandma's flower garden, a wondrous place of inspiration and colour that I could spend days in! Her love of gardening and all things antique sparked my own passion for flowers and her sweet vintage style inspires me to this day!
Years later, I found myself back in the country not far from their farm, studying Commercial Floristry. In 2005 I graduated with distinction from Olds College. I spent the following years working in flower shops around Calgary. My husband Josh and I married in August 2012. For months I poured over Pinterest, and all the wedding blogs of the time. And then, in the wee hours of the night and morning before our big day, I created the floral designs of my dreams.
Creating my own wedding florals kindled my interest in wedding design & I fell in love with the planning process and all the fine details! Fern & Frond opened for business in September 2014. Today, I operate Fern & Frond from my studio in the mountains outside of Kamloops, BC. When I'm not busy chasing our two boys & giant puppy around the yard, I can usually be found meeting with couples over coffee, catching a yoga class, or planning a pop up shop!'

Active members of the community, you can often find Ed at Calgary Hitmen games (as both a season ticket holder and a sponsor), Calgary Stampeder games and on many golf courses around the city. Grace is an avid reader, and enjoys spending her time with friends. Although Calgary is home, their hearts lie at their family cabin on the Shuswap Lake, where they have spent the past 40 summers.
Ed and Grace have two grown sons, Lowell (who you'll see at the store) and Aaron, who works in the energy sector. Their new favourite pastime is enjoying the company of their young grandchildren, Porter, Everett and Layla and Emily and Isla (five in five years!), who are proving to provide hours of endless entertainment. Together with their sons, their daughters-in-law Alix and Sarah and their grandchildren, Ed and Grace are looking forward to a new generation of mens wear enthusiasts.

Hello! My name is Amber and I am the face behind Captured in Amber Photography. I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Photography has always been a passion of mine. I’ve always had a camera in hand running around documenting everyone’s lives. I hoard albums of images that I have taken throughout my life. They are the first thing I would grab in a fire without a doubt. Expressing myself creatively whether that be through writing, acting or taking pictures is an outlet that I need in my life to be fully happy. Once I started playing around with my camera and editing images in Photoshop, I was hooked. Images invoke so much feeling in me and I love capturing the world through my eyes.
In 2012, I started taking photography classes at SAIT in order to help me grow as an artist, which only fired my desire to start my own photography business. Since starting my business I have had the pleasure of capturing families lives since 2014. In 2018, I made the jump to weddings and haven’t looked back. Families are the heart of my business and I will always make sure that I set time aside to capture those moments. My love for capturing weddings is deep. I love the pace of the day and who doesn’t love to watch two people commit their lives to one another.
