from Glenda... Photography has been a passion of mine since I was 17 years old and got my first 35mm film camera. (ya I know I just dated myself a little) In those days I was mostly photographing landscapes and nature. I started getting serious about photography about 4 years ago after being laid off from my day job as a Environmental Engineering Technologist. My husband Roy encouraged me to follow my passion of photography...So I went back to SAIT and took my Photography Certificate. While still completing my Certificate I started second shooting weddings for another photographer, often for little or no pay, just for the experience. I LOVE photographing weddings, they are such a joyous event with so many happy people and pretty details it is my main photography passion. As much as I love the traditional pretty wedding photos, I love capturing people in the moment, laughing, hugging, talking, just being themselves. I also love photographing families and babies. Capturing that perfect light and that nuance with the baby and parent that has real feeling is my goal. I prefer a lifestyle type photo with some props but all natural light. I volunteer my photography services for charity [fundraiser] car shows such as "Show your Ride for Brandon" and "Rides for Relief" as I believe in giving back to the community. It's a feel good Karma thing. Sharing some of Glenda's images from our Cozy Couples session: good morning lovers! morning mimosas have never looked so good! I absolutely adore how this community comes together and creates such magic. I love sharing their work with our features...so watch for more to come!! vendor list: lead photographer Meg Skalicky planning & host The Open Trunk Workshop rentals & styling Heather Johnston of Orange Trunk Vintage Styling & Rentals creative & production assistant Chelsea Townsend of Coco & Ash Weddings & Events hair and make up by Robin Hubert of Avenue Beauty kimono Lost in Layers models Ashia & Kevin Sanders lunch & food props The Italian Farmhouse venue private residence swag bags provided by The Open Trunk Workshop, Box Smith, Lost in Layers & DOTE magazine thank you friends
